Raise the Roof Raffle
Raise the Roof Raffle
The Lassen County Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) seeking your help. Our building is in need of a new roof as it is weathered and started to give in some places. Our mild winters the past two years have allowed us to postpone our improvements, however, we are well aware our borrowed time is sure to run out.
As a non-profit, we are faced with the consistent challenge of securing financial resources. Serving our rural community with art experiences is paramount in our mission and therefore makes it difficult to raise additional funds for our building improvements.
Our Gallery hosts various events on a monthly basis, including the Lassen Acoustic Music Jam, Artist Receptions and Shows, Cork & Canvas events, Youth Art Programs, and more. As you can see, we depend on the Gallery for many uses and it is imperative that we preserve the integrity of the building. The Lassen County Arts Council owns our building as a result of a generous donation by a local family and we hope to be able to raise enough money to make the necessary repairs to preserve our Gallery. New lighting and window coverings and workspace improvements upstairs are also on our wish list. With funds donated above our initial goal of $13,500, we will chip away at our wish list one improvement at a time!
Local Artist Don Cameron generously donated a piece of his award winning artwork to help us raise money for our Replace the Roof cause. Don’s artwork, valued at $3,000, will be raffled on June 1, 2016. All funds raised from this artwork raffle will go towards repairing the roof. We are very appreciative of Don’s donation and hope our members and community will help us by by purchasing a ticket. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at Margie’s Book Nook and the Gallery.
If you visit our Gofundme page, https://www.gofundme.com/roof4LCAC you can track our progress. Please support our Raise the Roof project and buy a raffle ticket — tickets are $20 -- or donate to our Gofundme account.
All raffle tickets can be purchased at the Gallery and Margie’s Book Nook
